Classic Christmas Stories with a twist from the master of festive fare...

Bells of Santiago

In conjunction with Swansea Arts and Education, The Swansea Festival and The Welfare in Ystradgynlais, we are working on a new theatre piece aimed at Key Stage Two pupils charting the history of the famous Bells of Santiago - brought to Swansea after tragedy in 1863 and returned after tragedy in 2011. This is a new piece in our continued relationship with Swansea's Theatre-In-Education Programme. As well as a public performance in The Welfare, we will be visiting Pontlliw, The Hafod, Christchurch, Pontybrenin and Sketty Primary Schools.

A Child’s Christmas

A Child's Christmas is a double bill of two wonderful Christmas stories by two famous Welshmen - Dylan Thomas and Richard Burton. Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales is a seasonal favourite in Wales and beyond, and this wonderful evocation of a child's delight at the festive season has become famous the world over. Richard Burton's A Christmas Story is not as well known, but is a funny, warm and thought provoking account of childhood memories...in many ways it was a conscious response to Dylan Thomas' own childhood narrative. Told by Adrian Metcalfe, this evening's festive entertainment has been described by the press as 'masterful story-telling' and 'perfect festive fare'.

Taliesin, a Teller of Tales

Combining the magic of the bardic story-teller with the mystery of The Mabinogion, this show promises to be an evening of great entertainment for young and old alike.

Return Journey

Dylan Thomas' masterpiece, based on the city that once was but is no more following the bombing raids of the Second World War, is both touch and tragic, funny and frivolous. Performed on the streets of Swansea in the summer of 2014.
